Plans for Digital Futures Programme take step forward

Our award-winning Digital Futures Programme took a big step forward when Trust partners got together for a BTEC planning day.

On April 17, leaders from ALETs four UTCs got together with some of the partners helping deliver the DFP to work out the next stage of rolling out the programme (currently running at UTC Heathrow) to all four of Activate Learning Education Trust ‘s UTCs (UTC Swindon, UTC Reading and UTC Oxfordshire).

Working collaboratively, school leaders and representatives from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Digital Realty, CBRE, Vertiv, CyrusOne, JLL and VIRTUS Data Centres identified which units of the Engineering BTEC are best suited to their technical resources and committed to delivering inspiring workshops and projects designed to give students a head-start in the digital infrastructure industry.

Other partners not there on the day but who have already committed to delivering other units in the curriculum – CNet Training, Ark Data Centres, Kao Data, LMG (lmgiq.com), Yondr Group.
