UTC Oxfordshire Year 12s got to witness some of the most cutting-edge manufacturing technologies of the moment at the MACH Exhibition last week – which featured the largest display of working machinery in a single venue!
Student Ben Harvey proudly showed off his concept car design on the Baker Dearing Educational Trust stand, championing the UTC network as one of several featured projects from different UTCs on each day of the exhibition.
Ben’s design had won a Judges Award in the Concept Cars competition, sponsored by Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) and Ben will go on to the BAC factory in Liverpool to see the Mono car in production in May.
So great for the students to place their learning in real-world designs and experiences!
